How to use this template

It's great to visualize complex business systems, to help everyone gain a greater understanding of how all the parts fit together. Sometimes, however, system diagrams can get so complicated that they create more confusion than clarity!

The Orbit System Diagram template is for you to show the essence of your system, by showing the core part of it at the center, with various other parts (or groups of parts) orbiting around it in concentric circles. This can be useful for engineering projects, software development, stakeholder mapping, organizational change, and other technical applications.

To use the Orbit System Diagram template, first open it up in Drawify, and change the text labels and images to suit your context. You can also add, remove and resize rings and circles as you see fit. Depending on your context, you might like to just use text labels in the circles, or make it more fun and memorable with various images included on the right side. Once you're finished, you can remove all the images and labels you don't need, and export it as an image (PNG, JPG) or as a PDF.

Outcomes

- Clear, shared understanding of a complex business system or technical system
- Improved communication between team members
- Consistent and accurate documentation of your system design

PRO TIP

Try creating an Orbit System diagram as a current-state view (as-is), and another diagram to show future-state view (to-be), highlighting any changed elements as a different colour.

Customize the layout, content, and colors of this template, or swap elements for others to match your purpose.
